Everpure® High Flow CSR MC & XC Cartridges

For optimal performance

Everpure® High Flow CSR MC XC Cartridges

All High Flow CSR systems are made up of three different components:

  • A sediment prefilter – can be 10 or 20 inches – can be in a clear bowl or a black bowl
  • A bank of two, three or four fine filters – in this case an MC XC
  • An SRX feeder to control lime scale build up due to hard water

We recommend changing the prefilter at least once a month.  Prefilter cartridges are inexpensive but play an important role.  They filter out all of the large dirt particles first in order to protect the more expensive fine filters.   We like to say that they remove the alligators.  To put it in perspective, the human eye cannot see anything smaller than 40 microns.  What’s a micron, you ask?  Well it’s a fancy measurement that is equivalent to 1/25,000th of an inch.  A human hair is 75 microns.   Prefilters typically remove particles down to 10 microns (nominal).  You will be amazed to see how much dirt is in your water and how much has been trapped so keep an eye on your prefilter and don’t let it get too loaded up with dirt.

The fine filters are the brains of the system.  This is where all the hard work happens.  These ‘silver bullets’ are doing some amazing stuff inside, you just can’t see it happening.  Our trademark MC(2) and XC(2) cartridges filter down to 0.5 microns absolute, that’s 1/50,000th of an inch.  We want to filter that fine in order to trap parasitic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia (also known as Beaver Fever).  Depending on the cartridges you are currently using, the flow rates and capacities of the fine filters vary.  Keep an eye on your pressure gauge and be sure to change the filters when the pressure drops below 10 psi for two consecutive cycles.  Remember to change ALL the fine filters at the same time.

The SRX Feeder helps reduce lime scale build up.  This puppy is either in a clear bowl or in a black bowl.  We recommend changing this cartridge every six months.

Use only genuine Everpure replacement cartridges to protect your system’s performance, NSF certification and 5-year warranty.
