Ice is 100% water. No matter what model of ice maker you have, water filtration is of paramount importance to ensuring not only great tasting, hard ice cubes but minimal downtime for maintenance and deliming. Just like you wouldn’t drive your car without an oil filter, you can’t run your ice maker without a water filter. Two thirds of all ice machine breakdowns are water-related. The cost of downtime, repairs and wear and tear on your equipment far surpasses the cost of maintaining a quality water filter system.
